The Shelbina Fire Protection District visits South Shelby Schools, as well as Shelbina pre-schools and day cares yearly during Fire Prevention Week. We teach kids  the importance of fire safety and put them to the test inside our fire safety house. The house puts out a harmless, water based smoke and the kids learn the importance of having smoke detectors, as staying low when getting out.
